You do not have the big project in the middle of your concept map. Are you going to do a Weekly or Daily weather report? You need to let me know by changing Weather Monitoring to whatever your big project is.
I think this assignment is a little unclear to me. Are we designing an assignment for out "students" or are we working on a whole unit? Also, the weather journal is a large project but before you said we could not use is as the whole assignment. Are these additions acceptable?
I am confused too. I think that one of you was on the right track and I think I may have been the one to put us on the wrong track, so I apologize about that. Kelsey- I think you are right. I think maybe she wants it changed to something like "Weather Reports" (if that is what our main project will be, which I am good with). Also, I think since she said the main project needs to be something that includes more than just our classroom, we should make the main idea something like "Weekly Weather Report", where the kids televise a weekly weather report to the school or do a weather report over the announcements or something. The weather journals can be something that happens everyday and can be a smaller component of the main idea.
That could be a really fun idea and would definitely incorporate the use of technology in the classroom. I'm just not sure what it is we really need. But I do really like the ideas that you listed above. Hopefully, we can figure out what exactly we need so we can get going. (:
I love the weather reporting idea! That would be awesome! And I think we should keep journal in there as a daily thing, just like you said. I'll add the television reports to our web. They could do one on Monday with predictions and then Friday with a recap of what happened.
